Jordon Smith lost to Ryan Villopoto in the 250 class 3/4th place run off at the Red Bull Straight Rhythm yesterday. After some tongue-in-cheek smack talk on Instagram during the week it was only fitting that they should end up racing head to head. After each winning a race it was RV who took the decider to secure 3rd place podium finish.

In the final Shane McElrath defeated Ryan Dungey to win his class for the 3rd consecutive year.

In the 150 class it was Carson Brown who held off the charge of AJ Catanzaro to win the title.

This Saturday Oct 20 is the 5th annual Red Bull Straight Rhythm 2018 at the Fairplex, Pomona, CA.

"Stuck in their ways" is not something you'll ever associate with Red Bull and they prove it again by changing up the format for this year's Straight Rhythm event. Riders will be permitted to race on 2 stroke bikes only! Two classes will race, a 250cc and up class (including electric) and a 150cc and under class. The track itself will be littered with the usual SX obstacles.

It will be head-to-head racing, best of three runs. Winner moves on. Loser goes home. MTF's Jordon Smith and Sean Cantrell will again be part of the action, hoping to improve on their previous best finishes, runner up in 2017 (Sean) and 3rd in 2016 (Jordon).
