Spring Nationals Recap Texas Edition

Mar 28, 2017

Utah native Pierce Brown made the most of his trip to the Lone Star State collecting two championships at the 41st Annual GNC final (Oakhill) in the 250B limited class in Motocross and the 450B class of the inaugural Supercross event. He also rode well at the second Texas Spring national, Freestone, taking two 2nd place finishes in 250B and 250B limited. Pierce posted the fastest lap time of the week at Freestone and will be a force at Loretta’s.

Matt LeBlanc picked up a championship at Freestone in the 85 (9-13) class and reached the podium three other times. Matt was in doubt to race after a crash at Daytona but his shoulder injury was not as serious as at first thought.

Texan Carter Halpain was on the gas as usual taking the 450B limited title at Freestone as well as a 2nd in Schoolboy 2. Hannah Hodges won the WMX PRO championship at Freestone and leads the series after her previous win at the opening round at Daytona.

Australian Jaxon Hadlow had a break out week at Freestone riding aggressively to take 2nd in both the 450B limited class and College Boy. Jarrett Frye also showed he has the speed to win coming up just short in both Super Mini classes at Freestone.

And South African Marcus Phelps showed good speed in his Freestone motos taking 3rd in the Schoolboy 2 class as well as additional high moto finishes.

Congratulations to all MTF’s riders in the Spring nationals.
